Laura Mills 

Storytelling is Laura's thing. Born in the Midlands and raised in New Zealand, Laura started out in theatre, studying lighting and sound design. Her career was in the ascendancy, until she found herself stuck 20 foot high on a cherry picker with a crippling fear of heights. 

A swift move into editing soon followed to keep her feet firmly on the ground. And she's never looked back. Down to earth, ­with a sense of humour, Laura brings 13 years worth of experience and enthusiasm to any project you throw at her. No amount of media is too daunting for Laura and she is comfortable with scripted or non scripted narratives.

Her short form portfolio is full of comedy series for All 4 and BBC3, as well as branded content pieces for brands such as Helly Hansen, Huawei, NHS, Vodafone and Go Pro. 

Laura is equally at home cutting long form observational docs for BBC, CH4, CH5, Viceland, and she has a couple of festival length documentaries under her belt also. 
As a drummer and guitarist herself, Laura has a particular interest in cutting music documentaries, music videos and behind the scenes pieces.  Recent documentary credits include BBC4 ‘David Rodigan, Reggae Fever’ and ‘House Gospel Choir – We are One’. Laura has also edited music videos for Mumford & Sons, Rizzle Kicks and even once conquering her fear of heights, editing onset with One Direction on the top floor of The Gherkin.
